چکیده

Abstract Background To compare the diagnostic accuracy of Doppler ultrasound (DUS) with contrast-enhanced (CEUS) for detection iliac vein stent stenosis using multidetector computed tomography venography (MDCTV) as reference method. Methods Patients obstructive disease treated nitinol stents (Smart Control, Cordis, USA) between January 2016 and December 2017 were consecutively included in this study. DUS, CEUS, MDCTV carried out all patients within one week each other at 1 year post stenting to investigate presence compression in-stent restenosis (ISR). Results The study 139 (87 females; mean age 58 ± 15 years). For detecting compression, kappa coefficient modality gray-scale imaging was 0.901, indicating very good agreement these two modalities. ISR detected 50, 61, 65 by MDCTV, respectively. DUS CEUS (kappa = 0.449) 0.516) had moderate diagnosis, while which 0.884) agreement. sensitivity specificity diagnosing 63.1% 90.8%, 87.8% 97.3%, Conclusions is probably superior terms follow-up stenosis.

Detection of vascularity in wrist tenosynovitis: power doppler ultrasound compared with contrast-enhanced grey-scale ultrasound

INTRODUCTION We sought to assess vascularity in wrist tenosynovitis by using power Doppler ultrasound (PDUS) and to compare detection of intra- and peritendinous vascularity with that of contrast-enhanced grey-scale ultrasound (CEUS). METHODS Twenty-six tendons of 24 patients (nine men, 15 women; mean age ± SD, 54.4 ± 11.8 years) with a clinical diagnosis of tenosynovitis were examined with B...

Portal biliopathy diagnosed using color Doppler and contrast-enhanced ultrasound.

Portal biliopathy is a morphological abnormality of the biliary ductal and gallbladder wall associated with portal hypertension. A patient with essential thrombocythemia was initially diagnosed with extrahepatic portal vein obstruction (EHPVO). The contrast-enhanced computed tomography (CT) findings were similar to those of cholangiocarcinoma or sclerosing cholangitis. However, color Doppler an...

Contrast-enhanced endoscopic ultrasound.

Compared to other imaging modalities, endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) has limitations in terms of image enhancement. However, with the availability of contrast agents in ultrasonography, EUS has evolved. Contrast-enhanced Doppler EUS (CD-EUS) enhances Doppler signals from vessels and is useful for characterizing lesions detected by EUS. Moreover, contrast-enhanced harmonic EUS (CH-EUS) with second-...

Contrast-enhanced ultrasound in oncology

In patients with known malignant disease, 51% of liver lesions less than 1.5 cm turn out to be benign. Whether the probability of malignancy is high or low, further investigations are often necessary to definitely exclude malignancy. Contrast-enhanced ultrasonography has a prominent role in lesion characterization with a diagnostic accuracy comparable with computed tomography and magnetic reson...
